Is it cold at night in Agafay?
It cools sharply after dark year-round, and from November to March the nights are genuinely cold. Blankets and heaters are provided, but bring a warm layer for the evening outside.
Can I see the stars from the camp?
Yes. There is almost no light pollution forty kilometres out from Marrakech, so on a clear night the sky is the main event. New moon nights are the darkest and best.
How does this compare with an overnight in the Sahara?
Agafay gives you a desert night and a proper camp without a long drive. Merzouga gives you tall sand dunes and the real Sahara, but needs a minimum of three days from Marrakech.
